Exciting times!

I am really excited and overwhelmed what has happened to me the last few weeks.As I am writing this I cant but have an overwhelming thankfulness to what God has allowed in my life. God is continually doing good things for EVERYBODY whether we like to acknowledge Him in it or not. (The scripture says the God gives blessing to the just and the unjust - His love is unconditional.)By acknowledging that God has done great things for me I get a sense of closeness to Him and it humbles me. As a photographer I believe it is important to get inspired and excited by your own work. When you finished working on a images and it just satisfies you. Normally in those instances I always cant believe that I took that photo! Every now and then you get a favourite that inspired you to carry on. It is not planned it just happens - I have a new one like that! It feels so good! It happened this time after I printed the images on fine-art paper and mounted it in a frame -it is beautiful! I am going to try a reproduce the look for you- (it is not the same though as the paper has such a nice texture that adds so much to the photograph.)Also the watermark is not on the original.

I am featured in the latest Pix magazine!

I am thrilled to be featured in the latest issue of Pix magazine! It is South-Africa's most read local photo magazine. What I am really excited about is the fact that I could choose the images they use and the article is about me. I have had my work featured in more than 30 local and international publications (which I am very thankful for), but it is always been to showcase weddings and the magazines like to use the images that show dress, venue, and decor to inspire brides. They will never show the emotional and artistic images.Now I get a chance to get my photojournalistic and artistic images featured! The magazine goes on sale 5 September 2008 at most local news agencies and photographic labs.

I am going to be on Top Billing tonight!

I am going to be on the Top Billing TV Show tonight Thursday 14 Aug 2008 at 19:30 SABC 3. They are doing a feature of brides experiencing their wedding day again and I was asked to do the photo shoot. I was approached by designers Christiaan Gabriël du Toit and Malcolm Kluk ( www.kluk.co.za www.cgdt.co.za ) to do the photography.
These are my favourite image from each bride.

While we were doing the shoot me and Christiaan Gabriël and Kluk decided to do some extra shots with a model. Here is some gorgeous shots of Jenny from outlaws model agency! I will post more of Jenny's shots soon.

Ready for the new season ahead!

I am ready and excited for the new season ahead! It is going to be busy now from August to April 2009! I am looking forward to all the weddings and cant wait to try new things in search of capturing the ultimate wedding photograph!

To all my clients I want to say we are going to have lots of fun on your wedding! It is very important to get awesome photo's and to have fun while we are doing it! You will see it is not so hard as one would think!

Last season I only posted a few weddings, but this season I will try and post each wedding! So watch this space!

I love this shot as it looks as if was taken in the 1920's!


We stopped traffic to get this shot in the main street of Kalk Bay! It was hot summer day and the traffic was bumper to bumper which made the shot more difficult but loads more fun!!!

Bonjour I am in Paris!

I arrived late afternoon and after some rest I hit the streets - all the following was shot between 20:00 - 22:00 in Montmartre in Paris- can you believe it is still so light at that time - enjoy and please feel free to comment!


I met this gentleman named Jacques, he joked that I photograph him...and offcourse I grabbed the opportunity - he did not speak a word of english so giving directions was very funny... he bought me a drink - Merci Jacques!



Then I met Ralph - he was very nice and again he spoke no english! Viva Ralph!
